A dreadful night of boxing!

The Thurmond vs Guerrero fight was not a good fight. Those who liked this
fight are either being too kind or have not watched many boxing matches.
It was very ordinary.

Was at the fights. Broner fight was booed damn near the whole time. I find it weird that Molina wasnt active and Broner didnt go for the kill with Molina in front of him the whole time.

Main event was pretty good. Thurman's stock definitely rose imo. He was quick, had snap on his punches and engaged more often than not.

Compared to the horrible performance by Molina, and running at the end of the fight by Broner, Thurman vs Guerrero was stellar! I was impressed by Guerrero's heart and chin. He got busted up, but remained competitive. Thurman showed good movement and put his shots together like someone who knows how to box, and not just throw haymakers. That said, this card will likely not encourage casual fans to tune in any more than usual. Broner should have gone for the KO, but he admitted that he was afraid to take that chance. Disinterested fans will likely remain just that, unless Haymon & his fighters deliver more excitement.

Thurman Guerrer only proved that Guerrero is not a full pledged welterweight and Thurman is another hype job in the works. The only reason they got such a high number of views was because of the names on the card but how long can haymon keep this up before he returns to giving the networks crap?

The program came off as gimmicky. From the start, the announcers were put up on a stage and were broadcasting to the crowd, like it was some type of Vegas number. It seemed weird from the start and then having the standard ring entrance for everyone also came off kind of budget. No theatrics at all. The overall product was very vanilla and needs to evolve to become a better presentation.

The only good thing of the night was the Thurman/Guerrero fight. Everything else was sub-par at best.

So, no emphasis on belts and WWE style entrances into the arena and this ******* Haymon thinks he can take over boxing. Throw in the lack of expert analysis and all in all it was a pretty s****y boxing program. It's funny that they would claim an emphasis on competitive matches, when the fight card didn't have a single one on it. Guerrero's ability to take a punch doesn't make for a competitive fight, two boxers that both have a chance to win makes a competitive fight. I don't know a single knowledgeable boxing fan who would have picked any of those fights to end differently than what they did. Nice job trying to reinvent the wheel Haymon, but I'm not buying it! Not even for free!
