Why do you want that to happen? Fans should not be throwing anything at any fighters.

They want blood and guts. They want boxing to look like the Rocky movies.

The April show in Brooklyn features a very New York-centric fight card with the two TV fights, featuring Danny Garcia and Peter Quillin, showcasing guys having their fourth and third fights, respectively, at the venue.

You add that Andy Lee can punch and is an Irishman who is also a world-class fighter (there's a sizable Irish American community in and around NYC, and hopefully a good chunk of them like a good scrap).

You add that DiBella, a veteran New York promoter, is working the pavement, and the audience should be fine.

I lost count of how many times broner-molina got booed, and Thurman-guerrero only got interesting, when the ghost went down. Even then,in the last two rounds, the crowd would boo every time that Thurman would move away, and refuse to engage Guerrero. So how will the casuals react to both Peterson, and quillen deciding to box their respective opponents, instead of engaging them?
You never noticed that Peterson actually try to **** it out? He boxes from time to time but his whole M.O is to **** it out. He gets in to some weird drunken groove and ****s it out with his opponents. Also Garcia is an excellent boxer as well and can move laterally around the ring as he showed against Bumtthyse. Garcia have a slickness to him as well that is influenced from great fighters from Philadelphia. Quillen has a high KO ratio and he can box, so can Andy Lee, so Quillen will be smart to box a one trick pony and knock him out if it presents itself. The fight is all up to Lee, not Quillen. Lee decides to open up and throw the fight will be interesting. Just like Molina had that chance but decided to moisten up.

              This.

There is a reason why Tyson is the most prolific boxing personality of all time and it was because he left the fans with devastating knockouts. The casual audience doesn't want the sweet science which is kind of why I fear that mismatches and or fixed fights might become an issue. These fights appear to be solid matchups on paper but both Quillin and Garcia are the name boxers as far as the PBC is concerned. Things will be pushed as far as they can to ensure that they win but they really do need to win by KO if the casuals are going to start to follow this sport.

If they're showing it, they will watch. If they don't, oh well. I'm not too worried about how casuals will react. Both fights have the potential to be good if not great.

I agree with this. The hot crowd will also make the TV experience better.

Habit, i guess. Helps clearly put together my thoughts, without have the cluster feel of a single run-on paragraph. And, it helps keep things pretty orderly if I have to refer back to stuff at some point.

The undercard I think will prove to be better than Molina vs Broner. Overall, should be a good night of Boxing, but don't expect HUGE ratings either. As long as the hardcores continue to tune in, they're gonna get consistent 3-4 Mill views and up.
