Thurman has too many flaws for Mayweather to take advantage. It would be a repeat of the fight with Canelo.

If Floyd wins on May 2nd, and I don't think he will, then he should fight the next best contender or vacate if he's not interested in doing that.
after may 2 he can do what the hell he wants.. the guy is pushing 40..all these up n comers can fight each other, floyd is done proving himself after he whoops manny .. hes the king of our era. and this will be official in a few months.

why should thurman risk getting embarrassed when he can wait after the floyd ,manny era and then take over the division. .theres always gonna be some guy out there who people say is dangerous for floyd. .he beats thurman, then its brook, then its porter..etc etc

after may 2..nothing left to prove

Thurman will be ready when Floyd will be 40 to 42 years old. Like another guy said, Garcia, Thurman, Porter, Brook, Rios, Maidana, Guerrero, Broner, all these guys are below Pac, Floyd and Cotto. They'll be ready when these 3 will get old and get slower. But any prime version of Pac May and Cotto dismantle all these guys.

That's boxing, that's how it works. It's always the next guy.

As long as you hold titles and claim to be the best, you have to keep proving it or vacate and retire. You don't get to play around fighting no-hopers for a cheque, it's a sport.

Same goes for all the champions.

            This here ^^

Im on this site since 2005, I even remember some people wanting Floyd to fight Vivian harris back in the time after he had beaten Urkal, he was a new upcomer and was the new guy to cause probleme to Floyd. Hell I even remember when Manfredy was supposed to be a threat to Floyd, crazy how this guy has been dominating for so long and still dont get respect

No, it doesnt go for all champs

Golovkin can fight 20 tomato cans in a row and people will make thread about how hes the greatest middleweight and a beast.

Pac can fight Algieri and Rios and get a free pass, people will claim he is a beast.

Floyd is held to higher standards than all the other fighters in the last 20 years, wake up dude.

The future face and cash cow of boxing is Tyson Fury.

Let's not play ******. Golovkin is fighting the best available, he is literally begging for the big fights, calling out everyone in his division. Pacquiao was criticised for the Algieri fight, there was no free pass.

Golovkin is fighting crap, if his division is that bad then move up like all the other atg did. Name me any atg in the last 25 years I'll show you a guy who moved up in weight to get bigger fights. If GGG wants to waste his career staying in the same division, that's not my problem
