LMAO... You *****s are too funny. You talking about who "retired" for two years because there were names beside Manny who he avoided. You know, Paul Williams, Cotto, Shane, Magarito, Clottey, Rematch with Oscar and any other TOP WW from the time he "retired." His first fight after he comes off his "retirement" is a LIGHTWEIGHT(135lb) JMM. Those are fights real boxing heads would've love to see. But hey, "TBE" fought Carlos Baldormir and Judah(I went to that fight) who came off two losses(But Manny has to take care of his 2 L's... JMM and Bradley before he can fight "TBE"). Smh.

why fight thurman, when there is a ppv waiting with the Middleweight champion Cotto on it, A chance for Floyd to be Middleweight, Jr Middleweight, and Welterweight champ at the same time, while he'll already have Pac on his resume and The top 3 grossing PPV'S on his resume. In this age of Media, Floyd will be crowned as TBE, and you know the media is gonna run with it. Cotto vs Floyd for the Middleweight Championship, Barclays. September "?", 2015. Remember Roc-nation (Barclays) and Jay Z will pull out all the stops, for a major Boxing Card in Brooklyn, Ny. Book It!

Hell, Cottos contract is for 50mil, jay z can make that much with the ppv using Cotto vs Floyd

Is he ready for Floyd who knows but I'm sure he lands his shots on floyd my boy Cotto was able too and maidana was as well,Thurman I believe is faster them both for him being still young in game his ring IQ is pretty good but he still gets cracked if Guerrero was able to get to him at times Floyd would have no problem floyd wins but I believe it would a good fight thurman can crack!!!!! Thurman already has a good reputation build 3.3 mill was watching last night he don't need floyd besides money almost retiring...ww devising
I see thurman taking over after mayweather out.

Yeah, a Broner vs Thurman PPV is on deck and whoever wins that will be the "face" of boxing. and in a few years Floyd is gonna attempt a comeback that will make a ton of Money, Boxers almost always comeback and Floyd will probably lose for the first time when he's over 40 and trying a comeback and making like 50mil. remember all of these boxers are with Haymon.

Good fight last night. Thurman did a very good job last night. Good hand speed, power, footwork. Still has some things to work on. Personally, I see he loads up on many of his shots, and really telegraphs his punches. Really stiffens up when he throws his punches and kind of pulls his lead hand back before throwing it. He got away with it last night, since Guerrero doesn't have very good defense, not a lot of head movement.

Think Guerrero fought the wrong fight last night, tried to keep it at a distance. Too slow to try and box against Thurman, flat footed and slow hand speed. Guerrero was supposed to press from the first round and fight on the inside, and on the ropes. You take away Thurman's speed and power this way. Had success the last 2-3 rounds, but too late.

Would like to see Thurman against a good pressure fighter, Maidana or Porter. Then against a boxing type with speed, Khan. Two more big fights, and he's ready for Mayweather.

Nonetheless, good win for Thurman, very good performance.

Thurman would beat the balls off this version of Mayweather imo. Too much energy and output over 12 rounds, his power nothing to play with either.

He does fight like that. Good analysis. I was thinking last night who he reminds me of, and it's David Haye. That squatted back, lunging style with heavy hands and as you say, stiffens up when he lands a good one. Haye has a better defence but offensively they certainly seem similar style-wise to my uneducated eye.

As long as you hold titles, you have to defend them against the best, that's the nature of the sport. If not, you get criticism from the fans, doesn't matter whether it's Froch, Klitschko or Mayweather. If Floyd wins on May 2nd, and I don't think he will, then he should fight the next best contender or vacate if he's not interested in doing that.
