Comments Thread For: Guerrero: Now I Know Why They Call Him One Time

Keith Thurman and Robert Guerrero gave a much-needed boost to boxing with a superb show in Las Vegas on Saturday night.

In the first prime-time top-of-the-bill fight on NBC in 30 years, and the debut of a new boxing series on network television, the two welterweights had the spectators on their feet until Thurman won on points.

Gotta give The Ghost his props for giving it all he could after the KD.

Thurman's stock rose several notches with that performance.

Now for the next tough test.

I'd like to see Amir Khan or Brook next for Thurman.

Gotta give guerrero props for standing up to those shots. Most WW's would have gotten KO'ed from some of those shots he was getting hit with tonight. Dude has a chin on him.

I really want to see Maidana fighting Thurman now.

Ghost never went into "avoid getting knocked out" mode. Props.

In some ways Thurman don't like pressure. I would pick Maidana but another Thurman win is not unbelievable. Maidana just keeps coming and throwing and he punches hard as well.

He is Mexican. Being macho is part of our culture unlike Mayweather.
