It was a money fight, more than that, In Floyd's own words, "We are not fighting to see who the best is, it is all about making smart moves to take us to the next level"

Margarito and Williams were much tougher fights, fights real fans wanted, casual fanboys want him to see ODH are part time boxer who was transvestite druggy at the time.

The public perceived? What was your criteria for this?

Actually I was fine with Hatton, who P4P was rated higher than any then top welterweight he could have fought. And the only fight I would have preferred over Hatton was Cotto, who was an undefeated welterweight with some substance to his resume. Opposed to Margarito, who was an Arum creation with pretty much no resume.

BTW, I criticized the DLH rematch. Not because of any of the ridiculousness you mentioned. But because I h thought Floyd clearly won the fight and it was time for fresh blood.

It instead of de la hoya, it would've been instead if Baldomir. Floyd took the Baldomir fight instead of an offer to have his biggest purse ever vs Margarito.
Floyd would've destroyed Margarito, but don't know if he was so certain, bc he did duck that fight in '06

Pacquiao is just telling Floyd, he can run, try and avoid his onslaught but he will be relentless and sooner or later Pacquiao is going to get you.

Just curious. According to your logic, Floyd-DLH was as close as a prize fight can be with one man being awarded a victory. At that time, it was the highest grossing fight in boxing history. If that fight was s legitimate SD victory for Floyd, combined with it being the biggest fight in boxing history, why was there sucg backlash when a rematch was announced? If there were ever a fight that demanded a rematch, it was that one, right?
I think bc Cotto, Margarito , Williams, and Mosely were all tough challenges at 147 and floyd hadn't fought any of them
