Bro.......Cotto has more than proven his balls and mettle. If you or anyone else thinks he's hiding under a rock or ducking, you're just a complete idiot and NO NOTHING about the sport.......
How many fighters, whom after winning lineal titles, fight THE BEST or even top ten in their very next fight?
VERY FEW. NAME THEM OFF IF I'M WRONG??
And Cotto was right to wait out the Mayweather-Pac negotiations. Given how many times they fell apart, who does he take more punishment from, win or lose, Canelo or Floyd?
Your logic is flawed. He was holding out for a bigger check. Now that it won't happen, he'll move on and despite my wishes that he'd stay away from Golovkin, it will happen within 12 months. Hopefully Canelo is first, which I believe Cotto will win........but that's me.
Golovkin is another story. And frankly, if Miguel didn't take that fight, I don't think ANYONE would hold it against him. He's got a short reach, he's a VERY small WW who happened to catch a 39 year old career JMW with bad legs to get that title.
It's called pugilism for a reason. They do it for money. I'm sure he's going to have a relatively easy setup for his celebration of winning the title, being the first 4-division champion from Puerto Rico, and for all intents and purposes, the 'real Cotto' is back......
Unfortunately, with his balls, that means he likely does take a brutal beating vs GGG. But he's not a walk-over. He'll test GGG's chin like it hasn't been yet, he can fight going backwards, and will last at least through 6.
But to call him a chump because he didn't jump in the ring with GGG?

THIS is what a real "fan of the sport" sounds like. Well said.Comment
