Depends who is fighting. If you are best at brawling then do that. I lower my standards for certain fighters who can't box intelligently, and raise them for those I know can box. Generally I don't slugfests but I make exceptions for brawls between smart fighters. If a boxer is in slugfests because that's all he can do and can't adapt then that's not* very inspiring.

If it's on PPV I want a WAR.

I don't mind a chess match if it's on regular TV.

WARS are a lot more exciting than chess matches.

For me, Donaire-Rigondeaux was one of the most suspenseful and exciting fights I have watched in recent years. Had me on the edge of my seat the entire match.

A combination of both something akin to Leonard v. Duran 1,although if that's not the case I will always prefer a slugfest.

I like both. I can get excited for a chest match or an all out slugfest. Or like Imdazed said, a skillfull toe to toe battle where they aren't just winging shots for the heck of it. I just love boxing in general.

I don't have a preference, but I like it when 2 fighters styles compliment each other and it forces the best out of both (i.e. Pac vs JMM)

A war is far more exiting to watch but for the fans now for a coach to study them a chess match but to dish money out a war
