Joe Louis had 3 losses yet he is considered either 1,2, or 3 best ever and Same with Ali who had 5 losses and sugar ray Robinson who had losses. Rocky marciano never lost and beat Joe Louis yet he isn't considered better than Louis on all time great lists. If Floyd would have fought Paul Williams, prime margarito, prime cotto, prime Sergio Martinez, and beaten them and bow beats pacquiao, he could probably be considered top 3 all time, but instead hes foughten the likes of victor Ortiz, Marcos maidana twice, old mosely, pacquiaos leftover cotto, lightweight Marquez, and a bunch of other fights where they are either old and washed up or Floyd has a sizeable weight advantage. Pacquiao has been the one beating up bigger guys and moving up and beating champions in higher weight divisions. Pacquiaos record is better than mayweathers
They're both great... but I will agree that Pac faced tougher opposition at one time, where the opponents were in their prime or at least best of the division.. I just think Floyd took the easy route...

Now Pac,and this take the test nonsense...

Now I'm not getting into weather he was right or wrong on Pac..Truly I don't care..Facts are tho again he has let greatness slip from his grasp..Is Floyd a great fighter, yes of course he is..Will he ever be looked at like some of the greatest fighters, the answer is no..sadly enough for good reason..
Truth. Floyd had the opportunity to put himself among the greatest of all time, but he chose to make excuses as to why he shouldn't have to fight the best opponents and chose lesser competition time after time.

        What looks better?
        Mayweather SD 12 Margarito 2007
        Mayweather UD 12 Cotto 2008
        Mayweather UD 12 Williams 2009
        Mayweather UD 12 Mosley 2009
        Mayweather UD 12 Pacquiao 2010
        Mayweather UD 12 Martinez 2011

        or

Mayweather KO10 Hatton (made a jr. welterweight come up to 147)
        Retirement
Mayweather UD 12 Marquez (made a 2 fight lightweight come up to 147)
        Mayweather UD 12 Mosley
        Mayweather KO4 Ortiz (controversial knockout)
        Mayweather UD 12 Cotto
Mayweather UD 12 Guerrero (why did he "deserve a fight again")
Mayweather UD12 Alvarez (weight drained the other champion in his division)
Mayweather UD12 Maidana (took away opponents gloves)
Mayweather UD12 Maidana (took away opponents gloves)

Floyd, like many athletes and celebrities of this era, are a product of marketing. Tom Brady is supposedly the greatest qb ever. Lil Wayne is supposedly the greatest rapper ever. Lebron James is supposedly the greatest basketball player ever.

Its not a coincidence they all come from the same era.

Mayweather is clearly great, and wins over Corrales JLC Chaves Hernandez(one of my fav Mayweather wins)etc etc where great wins..Yet when has he fought other HOF in their primes,I'll wait..When has he had a fight like a SRL vs Duran or SRL vs Hearns??I'll wait..

Nobody is trying to say Mayweather is not great, but tbe is just a ****** ass statement to make..
I wasnt calling you a Pac Tard directly sorry if it came off that way. I was stating that Pac Tards are the majority that throw up that defense across the board. But to answer your question. Floyd fought a prime canelo, a prime Corrales, a prime Hatton, thats just naming 3 top tier in their division future hall of famers who were undefeated when floyd fought them. Now to you i say besides Hearns and Duran name 4 more top opposition, future hall of fame, and winning opponents SRL faced. Ill spot you one Marvin Hagler.
Lets not forget to mention SRL avoided Aron Pryor.
Mayweather fights his Aron Pryor May 2nd

Who? Barrera? Marquez and Morales beat him. One Koed him, put him to sleep.
Imagine if Floyd had fought Barrera when Floyd was the Champ at 130.
Other than that, all Pac has fought were mostly Floyd's leftovers, and Bradley, a B- fighter at most.

Nothing in Pac's whole career has prepared him for what he'll see on May 2.

It's more than huge.... its for all the marbles. If he wins, he's the best ever and no one can argue even those of us who dislike him the most have to eat it. But if he loses.....it negates EVERYTHING he's ever done and he becomes a spoon fed media creation. the pressure is intense

Again What fighter that Floyd has fought would you put in the same class as Hearns or Duran??Hatton maybe the only worthy HOF fighter(in his prime) you've named, and even he is debatable..Corrales is a hof because of his tragic end(sad man loved Corrales),but let's be honest on his career alone he's not a HOF fighter..Alvarez,may or may not be a HOF fighter, the verdict is not yet in on him tbh..Not to mention I would not say Alvarez was primed,he was young..Yet young does not mean primed..

Don't leave out Wilfred Benitez as well on Sugars resume..A dude who would be an atg if he fought in this era..

Thanks for conversing like a stand up dude..

Was it trash talk when both of you preached this garbage as gospel at the time SR and JR was talking about PAC doesn't do anything for their legacy.
Fact is, JR and SR said what they said because they did not want to fight PAC at that time.

It's obviously important enough for Floyd to PAY PAC what pac deserves and enough for floyds team to do a lot of things out of the ordinary, regardless if it is for mind games or just to sabotage PAC's camp.....
