Both legacies are secure, but with this win floyd easily top 5 ATG

He is nowhere near the best ever. A win over pacquiao would maybe put him in discussions for top 5, but right now hes not even top 25. Joe calzaghe has faced and beaten about the same level of opposition as Floyd and was undefeated. Joe Louis had 3 losses yet he is considered either 1,2, or 3 best ever and Same with Ali who had 5 losses and sugar ray Robinson who had losses. Rocky marciano never lost and beat Joe Louis yet he isn't considered better than Louis on all time great lists. If Floyd would have fought Paul Williams, prime margarito, prime cotto, prime Sergio Martinez, and beaten them and bow beats pacquiao, he could probably be considered top 3 all time, but instead hes foughten the likes of victor Ortiz, Marcos maidana twice, old mosely, pacquiaos leftover cotto, lightweight Marquez, and a bunch of other fights where they are either old and washed up or Floyd has a sizeable weight advantage. Pacquiao has been the one beating up bigger guys and moving up and beating champions in higher weight divisions. Pacquiaos record is better than mayweathersComment

Actually, most Pac fans' English and logic seem beneath Senior's. I don't know why, after all these years of arguing and discussing fights with native English speakers, your English is still so shitty. It's a shame people like you are calling others names. Didn't you also learn English at school?

I love this blanket statement that! Lol all Pac Tards use this and it holds no weight. Floyd beat Emmanuel Augustus although not elite was a crafty and ballsy fighter, Deigo Corrales undefeated in his prime at the top of the division. Jose luis castillo twice rather you think he won or not . Jesus Chavez. Zab Judah, Ricky Hatton, De La Hoya(shielded by top rank, ducked mayweather), Marquez, Baldomir, Cotto, Canelo, Ortiz, Guerro, Mosely (mayweather tried to fight him and mosely ducked for years. THATS A FACT), Maidana twice, now pacquiao. How did he do that??Was it his win over the out of his prime Hoya Mosley or Cotto that cemented him??Dude your delusional if you really believe May's the best ever..Mayweather has never had a top fighter in his prime as an opponent..Floyd is no doubt a great fighter, tbe tho..That's a joke..
If you discredit any of Floyd's opponents you have to discredit damn near all of Pacs because outside of Marquez, Morales, and Barrera what has he done? Fight floyds leftovers? Hatton was shot, If de la hoya was too old at 154 with floyd surely he was dead at 147 with Pac. Cotto was just beaten and weight drained. If mosely was shot vs floyd he had to be worse when pac fought him coming off a loss and a draw with sergio mora. Margarito lost his gloves of steel. Marquez starched him after a series of debatable fights. So what has Pac really done besides start smaller than floyd and win more belts?
Now name another fighter with as many NAMES on their resume as Floyd. Then name a fighter with that many names on their resume and no losses. Then name me a fighter that has beaten that many hall of fame/ future hall of fame fighters.
I'll wait.

Mayweather Sr is dumb as a box of rocks. On one hand he says Pacquaio is garbage. On the other hand beating him would be huge for his legacy. Which one is it Sr?Comment

Exactly right. Some people blur the lines so much it is unreal, these guys know full well what is front of them.
It is refreshing to hear Sr speaking about this fight with more clarity, I am glad for it. I'd rather hear people say it how it is and acknowledging the fact it is a close fight and HUGE win for either guy etc, than constantly say how easy it is for either guy.
Trash talk is fine, a lot of the time it is entertaining and therefore increases hype, but with that you get a lot of fans running with the trash talk rather than the facts, so it can sometimes be annoying.
Floyd isn't easy for Pac, Pac isn't easy for Floyd. A win for either guy means tons for their legacy and place in history.Comment
