Well, you're only looking at it from the US perspective with those ppv buys.

From a more global perspective, they've invested heavily in Macau/Chinese market, and taking Pacquiao over there helped build Zou Shiming...who is a fixture at the Venetian in Macau.

So it's perhaps narrow-minded to only look at how many ppv buys Pacquiao-Rios.

If Top Rank wants to put more emphasis in China that's fine, how does that help Cotto? Is there a big PR demographic in China I'm not aware of? Or maybe a big African-American population that would dig Bradley, or Mexican for Rios? RocNation is better in the US than Top Rank which is where Cotto has and would get most of his fans.

Best post on this thread! To add to this Cotto knows he is on no longer in his prime and the end of his career is very near. He needs to make the most $$ off his next deals.

To say Cotto is hated by our people back in the island is also crazy, yes some dont like him but the vast majority do like him. He is very loved here in the North, just go to one of his MSG fights then come back here and tell us about it. I will say 80% are Ricans showing him support!

You weren't talking about Cotto, you used Pac-Rios ppv numbers to say "That's Top Rank not knowing what the **** they are doing".

As for Cotto, DuBoef said what deal he brought Cotto for Alvarez "DuBoef said he offered Cotto $10.5 million for the fight with a chance to make millions more from his lion's share of the split with the Canelo camp".

If Cotto can make more than that as a boxer, promoter, etc. with Roc Nation, that's great for him.

But Roc Nation is still very new in boxing and hasn't even promoted a fight with him yet...so it seems a bit premature to start drawing some of the conclusions you're drawing about them as promoters.
