I hope so too. Obviously, as a fan that's what I want to see. But as a person living in reality, I also see the big picture. Cotto should get a nice win in front of a packed crowd in MSG in June, setting up a big fight in the fall. And if he loses that June fight, he has insured himself.

Cotto has already made more Money than most posters will ever make combined. There comes a time when you have to think legacy and integrity. JMO.

i think cotto is in a fantastic position, whoever wins out of pac and floyd will want to improve their legacy. If they then fight cotto for the middleweight title they can perhaps add ANOTHER weight division to their accomplishments.

Cotto can just wait to see who wins, then get paid just about whatever he wants for fighting them. He won't fight canelo because he is too big and dangerous for not much reward, he will wait for may or pac.

He took the risk moving up and fighting Martinez and it's going to pay off massively
