So it seems Froch is down to potentially fight GGG...after Ward?

75/25 was the mandated split used for Klitschko vs Povetkin in the same super/regular belt situation.

I think this fight makes more sense then a Ward fight for Froch, and damn sure for 3G..It's time for G to move up,and Froch is a hell of a test to see if he's ready for the big boys at 168lb..

As a fan of boxing primarily, it's actually kind of exciting to think of the possibility of one of the current generation warriors like Froch to really build up a hellacious-looking ATG resume with these two potential wins. I'm not a fan in particular of Froch, or Ward for that matter, but for example for Ward, two wins over Froch as well as Dawson, Kessler, Abraham, and potentially GGG...that's a great resume also. As it stands, Froch probably has the better and deeper resume to Ward, and adding an avenged loss as well as beating GGG would be crazy.

Well, as I understand it, it's not a matter of choice anymore. Since it has been mandated, they either decide to fight or one of them gives up the belt. Will be interesting to see what happens, but Ward is sort of in a corner here...he has no one else really to fight and although there are risks and downsides to a Froch fight abroad, it could still potentially be a good payday for him and an easy fight if he shakes off the rust, and could make him relevant again.

Yeah mate Hearn does talk a lot of crap, this isn't the first time he's said something along these lines, but we will see how it goes. I'll keep the faith for now.

Prime Froch gives GGG hell, today's Froch loses badly to the Kazakhstan monster.

Big boys at 168? Froch is arguably 'the' champ of 168, since Ward is inactive. A fight like you say to be a test would be someone like Abraham. Fighting Froch is essentially fighting the Number 1 or at the very least number 2 in the SMW division.

That claim is fair enough as it seems to be factually accurate. However Froch-Golovkin is PPV on Sky Sports in the UK. The reality is that Froch wants to earn similar or greater money fighting less risky opponents, which is fair enough, but it certainly doesn't cohere with Froch's image as the man who will face anyone.

Froch has always been down to fight Golovkin as long as the money is there for the fight.

Golovkin's stock is growing in America with increasing tv ratings on HBO. It will be a PPV fight soon enough.

It is already PPV on Sky. He just wants to fight easier opponents.

Why would Hearn need to use Golovkin's name? Need I remind you that Froch made £9million for his last fight whereas I'm not sure if Golovkin has even broke the million dollar barrier. What a ridiculous notion.

They've always maintained that if the fight was HBO PPV, then they'd fight Golovkin. Fighters don't just fight for "the love of the nerds online".

                      It's not HBO PPV.

This is not difficult to grasp.
