Pascal has been working with Memo yet Kathy saw no reason to put the VADA testing in the contract. That is very telling.

This we agree on. It's a shame there's not testing for this fight at all not matter how flawed it can be.
I don't care for Duva but she might fear if she starts paying for the tests, his other fighters opponents will ask her to pay for it too.

Exactly, especially when you have a fighter with an HBO deal who stands to make bigger money if he keeps winning.

Pascal is no saint, but had Kathy done this right, this issue would have come up before the fight was signed. I place blame totally on Duva.

This should be the last fight she puts on of this magnitude without testing.

Because it was Heredia's choice of an agency, obviously he knew the testing wouldn't detect his PEDs.

Only VADA seems to catch boxers on designer PEDs: Berto, Pederson, Rios, etc.

Are you serious? Berto was tested positive for nandrolone, Peterson for testosterone and Rios for DMAA. None of them is a designer PED. VADA uses WADA accredited labs like USADA and many state comissions do. It's not that only VADA can detect certain PEDs...

There are a few possible reasons for that.

1. She needed a meaningful, credible opponent for Kovalov, and Pascal was by far the best available. She didn't want to risk him turning the fight down by insisting that he use VADA instead of his usual testing agency.

2. She maybe wasn't 100% sure that Kovalev was clean. Duva's response to Pascal's offer was negative. It was Kovalev and Klimas who brought VADA into the frame.

3. She didn't want to pay for it.

Pascal has -0000000000000.000000.0% chance of even winning more then 4 seconds of a single round of this fight. Jhonny Gonzalez has more of a chance to knock out a prime Mike Tyson with 24oz pillows strapped to his fists and hanging upside down then Pascal has to even win a single round.


It's absolutely impossible for Pascal to even win a round against Kovalev, yet alone the fight.


Pascal can come as roided up as humanely possible and he still won't win a single round.
