if this fight happened 2,3,5,7 yrs ago, Mayweather would have dominated. Looking at mayweathers ring abilities as they are now, the timing of this fight is perfect for Pac.

I think people give FMJs "ring smarts" or" ring IQ" too much credit...no doubt he's superior to most all in this department...but he is only able to create opportunities (i.e. time) because he WAITS on his opponent...that will most always lend the advantage in most any match up, not much IQ to it...it safe bet boxing

All of Floyd's opponents fade in the last half of the fight. If everything goes good, Manny will pick up the pace during the last half

Algieri is the fastest guy I've ever seen darting around a ring. And he got tracked down. Floyd will have to hurt Manny. This is going to be a helluva fight. If Floyd stands his ground and wins, he'll be bigger than Ali. For the new generation... Similar to the Marquez effect for the Mexicans.

I agree that Rigondeaux is better than Floyd, Rigondeaux didn't run in his fight against Donaire, Donaire was the cautious side, and when he started to attack in the late rounds, he was punished very bad.

Floyd here is more like Leonard case against Hagler, I foresee an ugly fight with a lot of hugging and running

Rigondeaux is not a better technician than Floyd. At this stage, which is the twilight of Floyd's career and where Rigo is still looking for his place in boxing, we will see a difference in performances of course. But, this is not because of a difference in skills; it really has more to do with motivation aka where they are in their career. With the amount of money Floyd has, it is almost next to impossible for him to be close to 100% ready for a fight.

So, with that said, I hope this fight with Manny can motivate him enough so we can see vintage Floyd for the last time before he rides off into the sunset. Just to add, Floyd has been past prime since he left 140. Dude just came to 147 to chase money. A glaring difference between Floyd and Rigo, too, is discipline. Rigo can be pulled into a fire fight and out of his game, which causes him to commit errors, and I never seen this happen with Floyd.
