Because Ward is nowhere near the draw that Chavez Jr is. HBO wouldn't make Froch v Ward PPV. Even in Vegas Froch is the bigger draw out of the two. The fight could take place in Ward's living room and there would still be more Froch fans there.

I didn't see anyone angry but Ward already beat Froch and that has to count for something.

The loser can only demand so much from the winner. Yes Froch is the A-side in the fight but he lost so he is going to have to give on something that Ward may want if they try to put this rematch together.
