Yeah they must suck when they got the highest attended world championship boxing match last year and outdrew both of Mayweather's and Pac's PPV fights last year.

The promotion for the fight ****** and would have done much better if promoted better.

Boxing is simply a niche sport it's not popular anymore.

I rarely encounter anyone who follows boxing.

Found this off another forum, taken into perspective it looks like Golovkin/Murray did quite well. Third highest out of this group, and fairly comparable to DeGale on the same channel from a year ago. Really think that if Murray/Golovkin had been in the UK it would done much higher.
I take it that Froch, Groves, Fury are strictly ppv?

They are terrible. DeGale was fighting in front of a wider television audience than any of his previous professional bouts and yet his overall profile was in the toilet during his tenure on Channel 5.

Stop and think of the size of England and the population?
Who cares what the following was in England!
Everyone knew the out come and that GGG is the best right now at 160!
Murray beat the hell out of Sergio and beat the "likeable" Froch, he was
"sliced bread" then now against GGG he becomes "toast"?

To bad some folks don't realize that GGG is the most exciting fighter going right now. He is NOT the best fighter in the world but he's exciting!
