  • Comments Thread For: Felix Sturm-Fedor Chudinov on May 9th in Germany

Felix Sturm (36), 4 time World Middleweight Champion, wants to make history. He wants to be the first German boxer to become world champion for a fifth time. But this time he will give it a try at Super Middleweight (168 pounds) for the WBA interim-title against a big caliber: The highly talented Russian Fedor Chudinov (27). Chudinov won all of his 12 fights including 10 wins by KO (83% KO-Ratio).

Sturm said: “I promised to make only big fights from now on. Chudinov is seen as a highly talented and skilled Boxer with a lot of punching power. But i will take this belt to Germany”. The fight will take place at Frankfurter Festhalle in Frankfurt/Main, which has a capacity of 10000 seats. There are tons of requests already for tickets.

      The WBO.

I like Stieglitz more than Abraham, I'm still hoping for Stieglitz win here.

no reason why Abe can't face Sturm regardless of whether he wins or loses his next WBO defence, Stieglitz can rematch Sturm for a world title should Felix be successful.

Four-time alphabet paper titlist. Never a real "world champion" because he was never willing to fight any of the other legit belt-holders or the best fighter in the division. Or even the second best.

Would be nice if writers on a boxing site wouldn't take the paper belts and interim belts and regular belts etc el seriously since their readers know which ones are fake.

It's a shame he never tried to go out and explore more challenges. He is a very "sound" boxer.

It will be, that's why Froch/Ward was ordered... we all know they aren't going to fight... no matter who vacates... the regular title will be open
