that was one of the reasons that was holding up the fight, because lampley took shots at mayweather and showtime when alvared signed with HBO. mayweather did'nt want Lampley commentating.

At that point Leonard nor Duran were recognized as the two best or 2 of the 3 or 4 best p4p in the world. I can't recall a time when 2 boxers at this age had the same status.

Of course. But i stated the reasons for my comparison.

Merchant compared it to Lewis - Tyson just because of the hype.

But i dont think , given all the factors in this fight, there are any real comparisons. Their age, p4p rating, longevity, and the whole circus surrounding their relationship.

This is ****** for fans to compare this to fights where other atg's where past there prime because unlike them, Floyd and Pac are still in the top p4p rankings and the #1 and #2 ranked WW's, so its still the two best WW fighting each other.
