This just debunk's all if Roach's past comments about Mayweather using the tests because he was scared. At Pacquiao's best 5 years ago, his own trainer said he feels Mayweather would have beat Manny. So once a shot leg Mayweather beats Pacquiao then what? Not too long ago Roach said Manny has to fight perfect to beat the same shot leg Floyd. Pacquiao fans attention..... Freddie Roach has no confidence in Manny winning.

On May 3rd,after the fight:
Roach: "I thought Manny was fighting a good fight. We ran into one. No excuses. He won the fight...He never saw it coming. We watched the replay. It's about a 2-inch punch. Manny just got caught swinging a little bit wild and we got caught. It was a great knockout," stated Hall of Fame trainer Freddie Roach, who talked about Manny Pacquiao's KO loss to Mayweather Jr during the post-fight press conference.Comment

With all due respect Martinez did have a peg leg and that couldn't support him being hit by a feather, and although most of us thought DLH would hammer Pacman he was fighting at a weight he hadn't made for a long time.Comment

If this is your reason, then Pac was fighting at a weight he has never been before in his lifetime. would that balance out that excuse?Comment

I think DLH is was effected more from making weight than Manny tbh. DLH boiled down past his limits, Pacquiao was at his normal fight night weight. Roach even admitted himself that he knew DLH would be drained and said he was certain he was drained because DLH was still trying to rehydrate on the night of the fight, he admitted that DLH was a boiled down zombie. I'm not talking one or two pounds like he did against Cotto or Mayweather did against Canelo (I don't think that made any difference) but half a stone is a lot when you already have to boil down to your normal fighting weight.
And just to confirm, I think Roach is an excellent trainer, his awards speak for themselves.Last edited by Spacey1991; 03-01-2015, 07:28 AM.Comment

He said maybe. There's a difference from saying he would have, and he maybe would have. This just debunk's all if Roach's past comments about Mayweather using the tests because he was scared.
