I can imagine what that pressure must have been like:

Alvarez: "Floyd, either fight Manny Pacquaio on May 2 or I will fight James Kirkland on regular HBO on the same date and steal 50,000 of your PPV buys if you try to fight Cotto or Khan on that date."

Arum: "Floyd, you either fight Manny in June at AT&T Stadium in Dallas (because only Mexicans should fight on Cinco de Mayo weekend) or I swear I will make a fight between Pacquaio and Jesse Vargas."

Oscar: "Floyd, unless you want me to show up at your house in fishnet stockings
and high heels and call you out for the coward that you are, you better fight Manny Pacuquaio on May 2."

I do believe that there's no amount of money will convince Mayweather to fight Manny. He'd rather wait for Manny to have a couple more fights until he really slow down before agreeing to fight him. But his plan didn't materialize because Les Moonves intervene and pressure Al. ESPN Friday fight night had an interview with Arum and he said the same thing that if it wasn't for Les Moonves being involved, this fight wouldn't happen. So all your dribbling just went down the drain.

Oscar can really be a crybaby. He takes credit for forcing Mayweather to take the fight. That's just bull, Mayweather has too much money and power in boxing to be forced into anything. He took the fight because he wanted to. Oscar should just be happy the fight everybody wanted is on and quit crying and quit bragging he helped force Mayweather to fight Pacquiao because nobody forced Mayweather to fight. The two fighters both wanted to fight each other and make 100million or more each. Mayweather beat you fair and you put up a good fight. Let it go and quit being jealous because Mayweather trained hard and fought well for everything he has. You are rich as hell and famous and a great promoter so just be happy about that.

The fight was announced just over a week ago and theres been zero promotions. Floyd hasn't done a single video interview. Theres only gonna be 1 press conference in March and then another one the week of the fight.

This fight isn't getting the build up it deserves

this fight is riding a 6 year promotion. .it doesn't need anything extra.. social media exploded , the fans are building it up for free.

but i did want to see a face/off between them with max kellerman asking questions. .but oh well

Sure, Negotiations were sputtering, all were saying the fight looked like it was not gonna happen, Arum ratcheted up his daily Floyd bashing and responsibility deflection, scavengers licking they're collective chops, meanwhile Pac was in Miami and a storm baring down on the East coast caused major airports to delay Flights, forcing Pac to search for a time killer, why not the Miami Heat game? Mayweather found out Pac would be at the game and insured he was also there, Mayweather initiates contact proceeds to tell Pac that he has been lied too and, lets meet after the game. They meet for an hour, immediate results, Arum cops up to his lies and shuts down the rhetoric, Pac gains new respect for Mayweather and changes his tune, multiple rumors of a contract being signed then subsequently denied, then Mayweathers announcement.

I see that you still believe what Fight Hype wrote. Yes, Manny said there is no contract but as soon as Mayweather finally agreed and signed the contract, Manny immediately posted on his Instagram the contract where his and Arum signature was on.

You still at this time believe what your God tells you to believe. There were an existing contract that both Manny and Arum both signed. They said "Yes Floyd there is no contract and Bob was lying" knowing they were dealing with an egotistic maniac. A man acting like a child that it's his way or the highway. But as soon as May posted that the fight is a done deal, Manny posted the previous contract that him and Bob both signed. That's how you deal with an egotistic maniac.
