  • Would Floyd have more knockouts if fights were still 15 rounds?

    Just curious about your thoughts

Probably not. He would have even more hand issues though.

He usually gives away the last round, so yeah I don't think so.

Perhaps, as conditioning has always been one of his strong points...

Floyd just isn't an aggressive fighter, so even if he did score a few more stoppages with a 15rd limit, it still would probably only be a few at the most...

Agreed about the last round, but 15rds is no joke...

Floyd wouldnt have any problem with the distance...He's probably one of the fittest athletes in the world regardless of sport...& while he may give away the final round there's still 13 & 14 to worry about...

Guys like Mosley, Canelo, & Maidana have trouble enough going 12rds without falling out from fatigue...The idea of three more rounds when your completely gassed isn't a good one...

These guys could have conceivably been stopped had they had to go 15...

They should make fights 100 rounds so Floyd can get a KO in every fight

Tough to say, Floyd is not really aggressive with that so I think he ends up roughly the same. Maybe he ends up with a few more guys just saying uncle in 13-15th but not much more beyond that.

with his hardwork and pedication 20 rounds no sweat. KO, need more sucker punching and 30 more Ortiz's like opponents

Then he'd adjust his game plan according to more rounds, thus leading to the same outcome. Same with the other fighter. Both guys will be prepared for 3 extra rounds, and it would result in the same outcomes.

Of course, there are a few fights it would've changed, here and there, but it would largely be the same.

                    Absolutely.....

I'm usually yawning by the 5th or 6th round watching Floyd fight, and knocked out by the 10th round. I'm sure more people watching Floyd fight 15 rounds would get a better nights sleep.
