Mares, I see you are fighting a top tier opponent too. Some schlub with 4 losses and no KO power at all. Seems like daddy Hymen is keeping you nice and protected on the duck train.

One question-if he fronts the money for the shows, how do the networks and he split the advertising money?
No, I think HE pays for all of his airtime besides Showtime and then he gets a split of the advertising money. NBC, CBS, Spike aren't paying him to bring his boxers to their networks.

All the fighters under Haymon love him. He at least acts like he gives a **** about them. As long as we get the fights we want to see I don't care much.

I was wondering the same thing, but my guess is he would keep it all? 20 million for 2 hours on Spike or was the 20 million NBC? Seems like a pretty hefty fee to split commercials. I'm sure he could squeeze more money out of the sponsors on the ring and around the stadium as they'll be on more TV. The guy is a shrewd businessman, I have to give him that.

Can't blame the guy for singing hosannas on Haymon. The biggest pay he got so far from GBP was when he fought Ponce de Leon in TBE's undercard. Which was $300K. Leo Santa Claus got twice as much fighting a sparring partner. Huge difference. I expect Mares getting fed with cab drivers and make huge money. This is boxing now. Haymon boxing. Yeah!

He gets all the advertising money, but it's up to him to get his own advertisers and to negotiate the price.

Vince McMahon used to do this with WWE (maybe he still does).
