The only guy I can compare Dong with is Valuev, and looking at his videos, Dong seems a lot faster, especially in regard to hand speed. Valuev could go 12 rounds and he could take a punch. If Dong can too, I think he will be more than just a freak show.
Anyone heard of this 7' foot boxer?

Valuev was lucky that he had a bunch of stops and starts to career before he hooked up with Sauerland promotions. He was able to learn his craft before he had to fight opponents that had a chance of winning. This guy probably has a team that wants to cash out the minute he fights an HBO type opponent. If that happens within a few years, he will lose and lose spectacularly.Last edited by low blows; 02-26-2015, 04:58 PM.Comment

He's been talked about for a while. Johnny Bray was training him when he first came over for about a year, dunno why he isnt anymore. I thought he would have had more fights by now but I think he is learning to box from scratch pretty much, and that takes time. Big and powerful as he is, I can see him getting sparked as his skills seem pretty rudimentary.Comment

I think we all can agree that if he's a quick study GBP will match him carefully and make a lot of money.
Based on the 2 fights he has had that I have seen, I think he's the next Butterbean - meaning a side show. For the sake of boxing I hope I'm wrong.Comment
