I thought the CSAC said that Oscar De La Hoya had the Stub Hub on hold for that date?

This is a fun fight. Really cool fight to watch and it could be brutal.

      BUT....

JCC Jr turned down a career high payday, somewhere around $10 million, to fight GGG.

Shameful duck. Haymon did it with LSC, Quillin, Adonis, JCC Jr and so much more. Hopefully the ducking stops on his new reality show but it still doesn't excuse these past ducks.

And lets not completely blame Haymon- its JCC Jr too..... He deserves blame too. He's the one who ultimately had the final say on whether or not to take 10 million dollars.

Turning down 10 million/career pay day to fight for the lineal MW title, in order to fight a decent journeyman in a "entertainment-but-no-real-relevancy-in-the-bigger-picture of-boxing" fight is ridiculous.

Chavez might still be getting close to what he would've made against GGG. His contract with Haymon is supposedly worth $47 million, I'm not sure for how many fights though. He also switched networks on Mexican tv because Televisa was willing to pay him way more than he's worth. Money was the real reason why he left Top Rank. Based on how pissed Chavez SR. was at him on Monday's "A Los Golpes" show I doubt that he's taking the Fonfarra fight seriously. Jr's career is going nowhere and he knows it, that's why he's just going to make as much money off his father's name as he can until he retires.

Loeffler said Golovkin's outgrown the Stub Hub (and yet Chavez is supposed to be the draw between the two...). They expect his LA return to be at the Forum or Staples.
