From what I've seen, if they're really dying for people they'll give them out for free to like anybody.
For the Wilder fight, MGM staff and high rollers or something got them for free.
Hopkins/Dawson I, they were just giving them out to anyone.
If you want to gamble trying to get a free one or a reduced price one... don't buy your ticket right away.
I would think it is easier when a casino hosts the fight. But the promoter and the TV network never like the look of more empty seats than filled ones.

I think if you think the fight won't sell well, waiting it out seems to be the best option. If you don't get the tickets for free, you could end up seeing a groupon deal or something and getting it cheaper or more tickets for the price of one when the prices first came out
