Super middleweight contender Badou Jack (18-1-1) has confirmed to BoxingScene.com that he will face WBC super middleweight champion Anthony Dirrell (27-0-1) on April 24th in Chicago. The fight will take place at the UIC Pavilion and will air on SpikeTV.

Detroit had previously been mentioned as a possible landing spot for the fight. Chicago will serve as a more neutral venue with Dirrell being from Flint, Michigan and Jack, who was born in Sweden, living in Las Vegas.

No way your hardcore if u say this is crappy..ppl get caught ok..it happens..i dont see other champs takin on long slick black high risk low reward boxers as voluntary options..not even the champs like rigo, floyd, ward, ggg, or pac...

normally long boxers like andrade have titles and still cant get fights..but dirrell is ballzy taking this a voluntary defense

I have a feeling this will turn out to be one of the best supermid bouts in retrospect..regardless of who wins..remember lewis klitscho was worthless fight until it happened..jack isnt an Olympian for no reason..he fought a much more careful fight his last time out and dirrell was ever emotional in his last bout..i cant wait for this

supermid just might be the best division in boxing...on welter is in the arguement...if this fight is close u have one more name in jack added to that division..dirrell vs degale...ward, froch there still and i dont even have to name prospects...chavez jr there as well if he stays in shape..o yea i think ggg moves up..he should if he wants to be great

This is a good fight for Chicago. It's usually some Polish dude beating up a bum or some Mexican dudes beating up last minute replacements from rural Kentucky.

The Polish dudes do bring in a ton of fans though.
