Hopefully Fonfara can make 172 without any problems, but the hope from Team Chavez is that it does affect him. All the top fighters are trying to get Chavez in the ring, but if Fonfara wins, then we finally get a break from that ******ity.

On a level field I'd have to favour the Polish Prince over the Burger King, but with the reported $47 mil (multi year deal) Haymon offered for Chavez I find it hard to imagine uncle Al won't have his bases covered in some way. Just seems strange for him to risk such a potential money spinner as Jr in his very first fight under his banner.

Just make new weight divisions for these princesses.

Canelo is a super junior middleweight and Chavez is a junior light heavyweight.

while he does lack discipline, it's also obvious that he wasn't getting to 160 naturally.

he was using PEDS, and then rehydrating 20 lbs overnight. he's been a SMW / LHW sized guy for a long time.

This is a fun fight. Really cool fight to watch and it could be brutal.

            BUT....

JCC Jr turned down a career high payday, somewhere around $10 million, to fight GGG.

Shameful duck. Haymon did it with LSC, Quillin, Adonis, JCC Jr and so much more. Hopefully the ducking stops on his new reality show but it still doesn't excuse these past ducks.

And lets not completely blame Haymon- its JCC Jr too..... He deserves blame too. He's the one who ultimately had the final say on whether or not to take 10 million dollars.

Turning down 10 million/career pay day to fight for the lineal MW title, in order to fight a decent journeyman in a "entertainment-but-no-real-relevancy-in-the-bigger-picture of-boxing" fight is ridiculous.
