Maybe just maybe if your career has hit the skids so bad you had to fly half way across the world to play ball for peanuts you should focus on....PLAYING BALL. Not trashing that places very few icons or role models. Just saying.
      this, lol.

On he surface it sounds ridiculous, but when you really think about it, Pac is as much an inspiration and hero to the people of his country as MLK was here for the Blacks.

Surely you cant compare what MLK stood for to that of Pacquiao, but many people here are oblivious to the amount of help Pacquiao provides to his people. He is a savior to them.

I've said it countless times on here, go watch the youtube thing from Vice about philipines politicians. As an american we have zero understanding what political life on that island is like. The system assassinates politicians that try to break up monopolies. There's a reason this man has to drive around in bulletproof everything with an entourage. Hell the thing on vice showed a politician who needed a caravan of 80 cars just to make it to the polls to vote because his whole family had been killed in retaliation. People really do not get it until they take the time to learn about it. This is a millionaire dude who did not need to risk his life to hold an office but he does and even as a local hero his life is very much at risk.

On the surface, underwater, or in the air. It's ridiculous. Period.

Manny probably could give a flying fuck about it. This isn't even about him.

It was an absolutely ******ed analogy.

I read an article from the Philippines about that incident. There also a report that PBA Commisioner stepped down after one of the PBA player insulted or made a rude comment on Manny. After the Commisioner stepped down there is a particular reporter that said it's should be Manny who should quit playing in the PBA.

After all those reports starts to circulate, they interviewed Manny for his reaction about The incidents and one reporter particular comment. He said he is not affected by it because that's their opinion. He will continue to be a playing coach and that's that.

I for one don't like Manny's multiple major responsibilities, he had some good and bad things went his way. I like him as a boxer and a charity giver, he champion against human trafficking in his country. Some rebels surrendered only if Manny is there to be the mediator.

The bad things went his way were he let those people use his status for their own good. Kia team is a new expansion team, hired Manny for publicity and ticket sales. Then his new found faith, those pastors are given expensive gift by Manny and for heavens knows why those pastors would do such things is beyond me.

Manny's strong asset is his heart, no doubt about it, it is also his weakness since he doesn't want to upset even those people who are clearly taking advantage of his kindness. Bless his soul. Well if he truly believe that "you can't bring your fortune in the kingdom of heaven" then hopefully he's smart enough to have save money for his children's future.

I can't condemn him for his belief and for his generousity, but if he is truly content on what he is doing? What can we do about? It's his hard earned money after all.

You obviously know nothing about the Philippines and how many peoples lives Pacquiao has changed there. He has transformed entire towns and villages and made It possible for local fishermen to make a living in order to support their families amongst countless other things he's done for his people.

Yes the entire basketball issue was funny yet ridiculous. I'm just pointing out the reason why the people of the Philippines are so passionate about Pacquiao.
