    Gennady Golovkin was extended into the 11th round of his eventual stoppage win over Martin Murray in their Feb. 21, the deepest he’s ever had to go in his pro career in order to secure a knockout.

    The extended length of the bout stayed with the home audience, as the Feb. 21 late afternoon special edition of HBO World Championship Boxing generated 862,000 viewers. The event peaked at 938,000 home viewers, and—combined with its exclusive prime-time rebroadcast later that evening—was watched by 1.433 million homes. [Click Here To Read More]

      Solid numbers for a daytime event. Like it mentions, to compare the daytime event of Froch/Groves pulled in 700k.

                Golovkin's numbers have been really good besides Geale. That was the one slip up since he started fighting on HBO.

                Power sells, and power that is the real deal becomes a star.

                  So does that 1.4mil count repeat homes or is that total different homes?

                  With over 2.2mil in Germany watching Golovkin/Murray, I wonder what the Channel 5 numbers were like in the UK?

                    1.4m homes, double-counting the telecast; if you honestly believe that there wasn't any overlap between the two airings, you're deluded.

                    let the spin keep spinning
