  • Comments Thread For: Kevin Johnson on Tyson Fury vs. Wilder, Anthony Joshua

LONDON - American heavyweight Kevin Johnson claims time spent in the company of Tyson Fury will serve him well ahead of a proposed April 25 collision with Anthony Joshua – because Fury is considerably better than the former Olympic champion.

Twenty-six-year-old Fury fights Christian Hammer this Saturday (February 28) at the O2 Arena, live on BoxNation, and Johnson was one of his main sparring partners in camp.

The Atlanta-native couldn't have asked for a better kickstart to his own preparations.

That demobilises a lot of opponants before he goes in to land the good blows.
Kingpin spitting some truth right here. Tyson Fury is the second best HW in the world, and is the only man capable of defeating the best.

inb4 Ravens Fan claiming that Johnson is a bum & doesn't know what he's talking about.

So if Kevin rates Fury at 8/10 and Joshua at 3/10, what does that make himself? -50?

Johnson was floored for the first time in his career by Chisora, which could be a sign that age is catching up with at last. He's in 40's now, after all.

He should still be able to take AJ the distance though. And if he doesn't, we'll probably see AJ stepping up his opposition in a big way soon.
