People are getting antsy. He's making himself look like a duck.
When he ducked a sure thing career payday fighting Canelo even I lashed out at him. And I consider myself a fan of his. I somewhat turned my back on him in the heat of the moment.
People are frustrated with his passive ducking.

He deserves every bit of disrespect he is getting. If he was not a champion I wouldn't give a rat's ass who he fights or how often he fights. But he did win the prestigious lineal world middleweight title so he has a responsibility to the sport and the top rated middleweights who want a shot at his title. A good champion would fight a top 5 rated middleweight at least twice a year and real good champions like Hagler and GGG defend their title 4 or 5 times a year. Cotto won his title in early June of last year and he won't be back in the ring any sooner than June of this year. That's a full year off for a champion with no injuries and no excuses to take a year vacation with the world's middleweight title. When he does come off vacation it looks like he will fight Rios, Bundrage or Bradley and none of them are middleweights. Some middleweight champion we have in Cotto. If I was a Cotto fan I would be ashamed of him. If he won't do his job as champion he should step down from his title. I know me trashing Cotto won't change a thing and Cotto will do whatever he wants and to hell with the fans and the deserving middleweight challengers. It just makes me feel better to trash him on this board because I think he deserves it.

I think a lot of it is reactionary against his nuthuggers who tried to write off the ass-kickings he took against Margarito and Pacquiao.
If he's not going to face Golovkin he needs to move down or retire, but I have no problem with him milking that belt for a fight or two. Dude is at the end of the road and that's what it's about at this point. Cotto can do his thing.

Cotto should be respected but at the same time you gotta be realistic about his level at this point in time that's not disrespect that's just easy to see i just hope he don't end up fighting a tomato can .

All good points, but he should have fought Alvarez or at least have a decent back up.
Cotto has paid his dues.
He doesn't have to fight GGG but he should vacate after his next fight if he doesn't want to fight him.
