When you point this out to bitter peasants who are working 24/7 to make their PEDs/Plaster heroes legit by downing clean fighters like Cotto, they will resort to petty names e.g. "cottotards..." Their desperate attempts to silence or shame Cotto fans is transparent. Especially when they all they do is promote their favorite fighters 24/7. The hypocrisy is pure gold.

Look, you can spin it anyway you want to make it seem like it was public knowledge that Martinez was damaged goods. If Sergio was in as bad of condition as everyone is now making him out to be, you can be sure Floyd or Manny would have jumped at the opportunity to get the lineal MW title with relatively little risk. Obviously, they didn't and avoided Sergio. There is no denying that.

Now ask yourself, why didn't they take up the challenge? Both Floyd and Manny would have brought more money to the table for Sergio than Cotto did, but they did not answer the call. Everyone from experts down to fans assumed Martinez was too big, too strong, and too fast for all three of them. Cotto took the risk and reaped the reward. Now everyone is back tracking on their opinions and degrading the win, justifying their hate for Cotto.

The fact of the matter is, Sergio was too risky for any of the big money fighters to challenge. Cotto took the risk and deserves the credit for it. Had Floyd or Manny done the same, they'd be hailed as the GOAT.

Whenever a non peasant wins a fight it's ALWAYS "luck" or the other guy was "shop worn."
