There were Kessler whisperings last year, but Kessler retired. I don't think that fight would have done much for Golovkin at this point anyway.

Lee, Lemieux, N'Dam, Alvarez are tied up, Froch, Kessler, Ward, Andrade cost too much, and HBO and Haymon don't play with each other. They'll make a push for Cotto, but we know how that'll go.

Still think Hopkins at 170 is the likely answer. Monroe, Heiland, Johnson, Chudinov (if he beats Eubank) are all willing and approved, but those fights don't do nothing for Golovkin in May/June.

He will have to settle for someone like tureano Johnson in May but late summer he will have a big fight. He wants to fight often so good for him.

Tureano Johnson, assuming Cotto chooses to go with Bradley/Rios. Then after that hopefully a big star like Canelo or Chavez, and if not then a unification bout Quillin/Lee or N'dam/Lemieux.

Tureano and Heiland would be acceptable opponents for Golovkin's may return considering most middleweight contenders have fights scheduled already. I think GGG-Tureano would be a good fight while it lasts. Monroe and Eubank are not ready.

After that, hopefully a big unification fight against N'dam-Lemieux / Lee-Quillin winner.

I'd like to see him fight someone with legit power like Lemiuex or Canelo. Hopefully he fights one of the two or both within the next year. If not he needs to move up and chase Ward, or someone with a pulse.

Does Canelo really have legit power? I think he's got good, respectable pop but I don't associate real power with Canelo, even though it looks like he should given his physique. Could be just me though.

                  GGG's goals are very simple:

                  1) Consolidate all the MW titles
                  2) Move up to 168

He's doing well. Cotto is a ***** lip who probably just wants to defend the MW at 154.5 pounds against Bradley or something, but GGG's people can put more pressure on him to give up the belt or show some freaking balls and get in there against a killer.

I like Tureano, super cool dude.... shouldn't be in the ring with GGG though.

The only thing that I find interesting in this fight is if Tureano can stuff GGG's offense.... I think he threw like 16 jabs in his last fight.

See I feel just the opposite. I think Monroe is the most ready out of available guys. I look at Tureano's fights with Gavronski & Theran and he just offers nothing against Golovkin. He's a light hitting volume puncher. Gennady would just punch right through his offense.

Monroe atleast has the ability to survive with his movement and will have the fastest punch that we've seen Golovkin face as a pro which will address some critics saying he's too slow to handle some slick fighters. In addition has some quality wins over Vera, Adams, Kopylenko, even Bondoravas.

Heiland has some quality stoppage wins over Macklin & Godoy and could be interesting, but again Golovkin would get no credit for destroying him.
