Comments Thread For: Manny Pacquiao Hints Retirement is "Coming Close"

WBO welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao hinted on Monday his long-awaited fight against Floyd Mayweather Jr. could be his last, saying he would head into the May bout with retirement on his mind.

“It is coming close. We will announce it,” the 36-year-old told ABS-CBN with a meek smile when asked about retirement. He gave no further details.

After years of failed negotiations, Pacquiao and Mayweather hammered out a deal to face each other in Las Vegas on May 2 that will finally give fans the chance to see the best “pound-for-pound” fighters of their generation face off.

Losing to Floyd 11-1 and earning a gargantuan paycheck will definitely push Manny to finally hang them up and relax.

FOTY 3 times (more than Floyd)
Fight of the year in 2012 with JMM. (Floyd NEVER had a FOTY)

Being KOd and coming back stronger....WOW! And dumbasses thought it was over ! lol
All that by being picked with two weeks notice to fight for a championship. Its gonna be nice for Manny to beat the ****** of Floyd and ride off with being :the most beloved fighter of our era!
