Cotto wants a small welterweight or below opponent.

    Mexico vs. Puerto Rico sells.

Most importantly Marquez has a knee injury.

    Perfect.

    War Cotto.

Because they're paying more each side for something that won't sell that well

      mexico vs pr always sell.

plus it'll set up JMM-Pac 5 for the lineal 160 title.

Only way it sells is if JMM puts on another great show with a KO against a legitimate jr middleweight.

JMM isn't even healthy yet, he still has problems with his leg....oh wait. You called it Cotto-JMM ppv

It's funny... but if Pacquiao beats Mayweather,
I can see JMM changing his tune and granting Pacquiao-JMM 5 in November.

LOL...I can see JMM getting jealous and wanting to steal the shine from Pacquiao.

casual fans don't know/care about weight class.

              it'll sell.

              do it, uncle bob.

one legged jmm wins by decision.

i can see jmm drop cotto and limping after a moonwalking miguel.

I don't know, that might be too much of a risk.

Wow. My two favorite active fighters. Both just about ready to retire. Both throw awesome combos. Both can box but come to fight. Probably ends up fight of the year and maybe the decade. But I don't think Cotto can get down to 147 and I don't think JMM wants to fight at JMW. On the other hand would probably be a huge seller. Maybe JMM would go for 154 as a last hurrah...Assuming good health, I think I'd take a bloodied but determined JMM to catch Miguel with a big uppercut late in the fight during an exchange. Once Marquez has him wobbled, it's over. Ref or Freddie stops it.

I'll admit it could go the other way as well.

Either way, I think it's potentially an.awesome fight that maybe I don't wanna see, lol.
