Now the outcome is basically irrelevant. Pacquiao is a fighter who relied on his physicality and athletic abilities to do what he did, most of that is gone now.
The excuses are already coming to soften the blow of defeat.

I am in negotiations every week for my job and the one thing you don't do as a businessman is walk away until the deal is dead. Anything less than that is bush league. Fight for what you want, leave your ego at home and don't leave a penny on the table.

That is why I don't blame either side. This could have happened, but both sides wanted too much, let ego get in the way, and couldn't come to terms.

Alts? I don't even know what an alt is honestly. I been on here since 08 with damn near 14k posts. I don't need no alts and on top of that.... I have never made excuses for any fighter I said would win and didn't.

Pretty much every one of these ass clowns that have been beating their chests screaming, "Floyd's scared" the last half decade are making excuses now. Both ate past their physical primes. But you'd be hard pressed to find a credible P4P list that don't have both in the top 5. So this is hardly the Hopkins-Jones II situation they're trying to make it out to be.

Most boxing fans I would think just hope that for once in his career Floyd actually plans to fight and not put on another " dancing with the Stars" episode. Ya ya boxing purists are gonna start with the " hit and don't get hit" horse**** but Floyd just makes contact( unless the guy is not looking like Ortiz) he doesn't try to hurt anybody. He has always been about avoiding a fight. When he has made a faint attempt to fight like with Castillo 1 he lost which is why he has not since. Hand picking slower handed guys for every fight does not qualify anyone for TBE status. I am paying the money, I want to see a fight! a battle of skills and wills not a dance contest. If Floyd pitty pats and runs the whole fight he'll probably win and that win is worth almost nothing. Nothing will be proved! I could put Pac back in the golden age of Hagler, Hearn's, Duran and Leonard and he'd fit right in. Floyd would be exposed and do exactly as well as his Uncle Roger did, second tier. Lots of God given reflexes and a pea sized heart. Regardless of the outcome Pacman will be remembered as an all time great who took on everybody they put in front of him in 8 weight classes and Floyd will be remembered as having avoided anybody that was a threat until he had a distinct age, weight or speed advantage. Not the stuff of warriors in my opinion.
