Bringing his color to your argument shows that you are nothing but a fan a single fighter. Ali was the father of thrash talking but most of the people who knows boxing history respect and love him. He was flamboyant yet never flaunts his estravagant life style. He talks the talks and walk the walk. Whilst Floyd Mayweather have to belittle his nemesis and disrespect his race. Flaunts his lifestyle and doesn't really care about his fans. He keeps bringing Pac's tax problems and yet he never receives the same treatment from Pac when he had his problems with the IRS. He bring all this hatred to himself and he will die a rich lonely sad man when everything is all said and done.Comment

About time!
Great and well balanced article.
I appreciate both fighters, Mayweather is a brilliant defensive fighter with great ring IQ. Pac is a beast and brutal puncher.
While I cannot stand May for his personal life, I think I will be rooting for him in this fight. I want to see the lame excuses Pac fans come up with if he loses.
Here, I will start:
Pac has been in more wars and it has taken a harder toll on him.
If Floyd didn't run like a chicken, he would have been knocked out.
The judges were obviously in Floyd's pocket.Comment

This line always kills me. Why do Pacquiao fans forget that it was Manny who turned down the fight because of testing he accepted 5 years later? Listen Pacquiao nation. I never look at myself as a defender of nobody because everyone has to hold their own in life but what I don't and can't cosign is people rearranging and trying to change history with opinions and views that aren't facts. This pisses me off the most and that's why I've been going off on here for years because it's B***$#!t like this that make me heated. It is a documented fact that Manny walked away from the fight when they were in their primes so stop lying about the $#!t.... damn.Anyone defending mayweather saying it was smart of him and this and that are blind fools
IF this fight would've happnen 5 years ago the trilogy would've brought in so much money, it would make the 120 mil floyd is receiving now look like chump change
If floyd had man up and fought when they were in their prime, win or lose, he would be higher in the ATG list... There's no doubt about this
Pacquiao always chased this fool, and now that the corresponding teams corralled the fugger into a corner, he wants to act like it was his idea lol
Please... Gtfo. Sad thing is as a Manny fan, I think floyd will beat him, too bad even people who dislike him believe it more than he himself doesComment

You hit this right on the head. Arum called Mayweather delusional back in 2009 for asking for a 50/50 split. Arum later said that he and Pac, didn't understand drug testing enough to agree to the fight. (get that? One of the most prolific boxing promoters claimed he didn't understand drug testing.) Then with this latest round of negotiations, Arum and Pac called out Mayweather to sign a contract, that wasn't even finished yet. This time around, Floyd actually initiated a meeting with Pac to make it happen. This line always kills me. I am not saying that Floyd is clean in all this, but there is pretty solid evidence that points to Arum and Pac being just as much, if not more, of a roadblock to the fight happening before.
Either way, it should be a pretty great fight.Comment

Have you ever been involved in a negotiation? Sometimes, one side gets fed up with what they perceive to be the other side jerking them around w/B.S. demands. Add to that the feeling that you've conceded your fair share, and you believe the other side needs to make more of an effort to reach common ground, and it's not unusual for that first side to then just say "**** you" and walk away. Ultimately, this is the sentiment, regardless of any B.S. excuses that get thrown out there (e.g. scared of needles, building a stadium, etc.).This line always kills me. Having followed this saga closely back in 2009/2010, this was clearly the feeling of Pac's side at the time. That Floyd's pulling sh|t outta his ass, and he can now shove it back up there for all we care. Call it walking away, whatever, it was a big "**** you".Comment
