Floyd Mayweather Sr., father and trainer for WBC/WBA welterweight and junior middleweight champion Floyd Mayweather Jr., expects his on to punish WBO welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao on May 2nd at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Last month, Mayweather Sr. criticized Pacquiao's recent performances. He said the Filipino star has been unable to get a knockout win since 2009, because he believes Pacquiao was using performance enhancing drugs when he ran right through opponents for several years. Both fighters have agreed to a strict random drug testing protocol for the May fight. Pacquiao says he asked for fine of $5 million dollars if either of them fails to a test, which in turn would cancel the fight.

To me, Floyd's size and reach are the difference between two otherwise comparable (but different) skill sets.

And Floyd really is the better pure boxer.

Since the de la Hoya fight where Manny actually weighed more than Oscar, every one of mannys opponents has weighed more than pacquiao. Some of them much bigger than pacquiao. Margarito outweighed Manny 17 lbs. Even Chris algiero outweighed him 6 lbs. People always credit Floyd for fighting bigger fighters, yet you can tell just by looking at Floyd he is a heavier guy. Especially when he has a light middleweight fight like the cotto fight. Manny is much smaller than mayweather, and has been fighting giants himself. Mayweather is almost his opponents size or bigger sometimes.
