In what division should that opponent be ranked? The same as the one where the fight takes place or is that indifferent?

Nah, he'd win all those fights, thoroughly and boringly.

      Time to move up.

Ward can stay at 68 as long as he likes...( even though he's proved just about anything he could there years ago). He needs to fight GGG to shut the huggers up then he can move up.

I doubt it has anything to do with protecting Cotto or FMJ.
Believe me, it's a part of it. They are the most vocal about him moving up.

You're bitter about him fighting at 168 again. You want him to fight again as long as it's at 175lbs to keep him away from Golovkin.

How many times are you going to drag out the "it's been 3 years" line? It's in the past. You can't dine out on Ward's promotional issues forever. When he comes back, it will be another excuse gone.

I'd actually respect the Golovkin fans much more if they just said "Ward doesn't bring enough money to the table". I mean that's what GGG's team have said. I can understand that and it makes sense when he has the slight possibility of a Cotto fight looming.

But when they start dragging out stuff about Ward having to move up or his inactivity or catchweights or Ward has to move down to 160 because Super Middleweight didn't exist in Biblical times.....then you start to really get a sense of the fear that's involved for them with this fight.

            Absolutely pissing their pants.

You clearly dont read them. I want Ward to stay at 168 you dimwit!

Because its relevant to understand the situation Ward is in. He needs a big fight fast.

Nah, Golovkin would lose and it'd suck. We wouldn't get to hear about the rabid nuthuggers talking about his crunching power because he would be exposed in a way.
We'd hear from the 10 posters who like Ward talking about his technical excellence then everyone else agreeing or not caring.

Hyperbole and myths are much funner than the truth.

Ward wins, yay. Now go away.

And plus wouldn't Golvokin-DeGale be so much more fun?

Should we put a deadline on when the fight should be signed so we dont have ro check back in 18-24 months?

I want him to move up on the odd chance Kovalev takes his head off.

But Ward got a hard head. Kovalev breaks his hand on it early in the fight and it's a wrap UD for Ward.

But there's always hope I guess.
