I was once a Ward fan and I do/did want him to move up and fight Kova.

However, we are not going to sit there and act like GGG did (not) sit there and say anyone from 154-168 can get it. If that's the case Ward applies.

Why did GGG make 154 pounders go to 160 to fight him? Is there a double standard? Why was GGG willing to fight a C class Chavez jr at 168, but ducked Ward? Is there a double standard?

But we Ward fans actually want the fight, the Golovkin fans don't. That's a fact.
I'd love to see them fight. So no, not a "fact".

I think there needs to be a distinction between people who do not want the fight to happen and people who just think Ward -- who hasn't stepped in a ring since 2013 -- is all talk. He's a phenomenal fighter when he actually fights and quite frankly I give him 60/40 odds.

But in reality, Ward also called out Wladimir Klitschko a couple years ago.

I am happy to say he'd beat anybody including Klitschko if it makes people happy, just keep all the talk of Ward fights in theory.

He can be so hard to watch. If he fights a puncher like Miranda was or Kessler was, he's gonna hug the guy to death. He gets a little better at times (he wasn't as clinch happy against Edwin) but there's always the risk of the clinchfest and stinking out Oakland on his way to victory. He's a sharp puncher not necessarily a hard puncher so unfortunately there probably won't be any early nights.

His layoff has been great for boxing!

I am happy to say he wins any fantasy fight.
I too have Ward winning a FF against GGG, the speed difference, Ward's technique and grappling strength would make it a rough night.

I also have him winning the FF Cruiser lineal championship.

Still butt hurt over Ward whipping Kessler! Wow, you carry a grudge for a long time

Because Ward is in the middle of them you nimwit! I want Ward to face everyone. If he moves up to light heavy, we will never see Ward vs GGG. But of course GGG fanboys would be thrilled.

Ward vs GGG at 168 first. Then move up.

Which 154ers? Its only Rosado in like 9 fights straight, for a low money undercard, after a bevy of legit middles passed.

Unlike Ward, Chavez promoter actually sent a contract, for ppv no less before Jr got cold feet. But if he truly wants it now, he'll have no issues producing another offer, which is questionable with Ward

I love how fans make Ward the Bully in all of this when it is GGG FANS and Abel Sanchez who talk **** about Ward then when people reply it is the same BS "WARD SHOULD MOVE UP TO 175 WHY IS HE TRYING TO MAKE GGG MOVE UP"

This is not even a discussion if GGG fans and Abel Sanchez would SHUT THE *** UP about Andre Ward. GGG himself did not call out Ward and K2 seems to be focused on the Middleweight Division and not Ward while GGG have some very ignorant disrespectful fans who take the hype a bit overboard which is typical in boxing now

I have seen seen fan base for certain fighters come and go, most recently Matthysse Fan Base, Lucian Bute, David Leamuix, Adrian Broner, even Canelo Fans been humbled and not as loud pre Mayweather and Lara fights

So this is nothing New! I think...I KNOW GGG is real deal and he is no question the best Middleweight In Boxing Today...BUT he is not on Ward Level Yet! ("WHAT LEVEL WARD HASN'T FOUGHT SINCE..." BLAH BLAH BLAH) .

Ward barely mentions GGG personally, he only talk about him when the Boxing Media ask him opinion about him!

Ward fought more former and current world champions than Golovkin did. Golovkin cleaned out a division with only faded contenders and European softies. Ward cleaned out a division that had a lot of talent. Not to mention Ward is coming off a long lay off while Golovkin is fresh fighting C level competition. Given the lay off this should be a great chance for Golovkin to take. He's just scared ****less to test his power against an A class fighter just one weight class above (even coming off a lay off). Golovkin knows this is not like the faded, European, light middle weights, and C level fighters he has faced. He's 31 and time is running out for this guy. I mean even Bradley moved up to 147 against a puncher like Abregu who was undefeated because he couldn't find a challenge at 140 at the time. That's what fighters do when they have nothing going on in their weight class, they move up.
