I think GGG needs to let the cotto thing go and focus on calling out Canelo. Unless he gets cotto in June, cotto is going to defend against the Floyd/Manny winner in Sept for a truckload of money and pink clothes. I think he loses that fight no matter who it's against.

You think Floyd or Manny fights GGG?

Canelo at 155-157 gets him a ton of money and PPV exposure.

Yes he has. He's beaten all of the relevant fighters that are willing to fight him.

He's not getting the Cotto fight. Quillin is not going to fight him. All that's left is the winners of N'Dam/Lemieaux and Mora/Irrelevant IBF mandatory. He can wait for the Canelo fight and that's fine but that's only one fight to keep him busy from now until the end of 2016.

GGG should fight the IBF champ, try to land the Canelo fight, then move up and fight Chavez/Froch/Abraham or somebody and then the Ward fight should happen late 2016.

I don't see why GGG fans are so against this.

There's no double standard. Ward-Kovalev can happen later but why would it happen before Ward-GGG? Makes no sense to people who actually want to see that fight.

Because you know that if Ward goes up to 175, it pretty much scuppers the chance of Ward-GGG happening and lets be honest here, that's what you are praying for.

At the rate Ward's going, 3 tuneups will take about 10 years

Ward never said he needed 3 tune-ups to fight Golovkin. That's a blatant lie and another excuse used by certain scared fans.

He's going more the Hopkins route. Overstaying his welcome in a poor division fighting mostly mediocre competiton when he should have gone to 168. To me that's pointless.
Hopkins waited for De la Hoya and Tito just as Ward is probably waiting for GGG. Difference being that Hopkins fought a lot, while Ward just Waits, overprices himself, making ridiculous demands or whatever it is he is doing when he is not fighting.
168 he has better competion and bigger money.

Even guys like Dirrell, Degale, Groves, Abraham are better than the people he's fighting.
Possible, but they all have there flaws and all would be bashed by the anti-GGG brigade. Bigger Money? Maybe. Not sure though. It's GGG who's the HBO attraction and the brits you mention is as relevant as Murray. Abraham is possible in Germany, but highly unlikely as I reckon he retires after Sturm. Dirrells? Imagine the critique GGG would get there.

as a triple g fan that scenario sounds perfect to me. i object to golovkin moving up to 168 lbs right now (for chavez jr as well as ward, for the record) because i still hold hope for a canelo show-down, and i also think n'dam, lemieux, quillin and lee are still decent fights for him in the meantime, but once that situation is resolved i'd love to see him take on froch and ward - they would both be epic fights and i truly believe he can beat ward.

                  This is beneath you.

Another ****** straw man proposition regarding Ward. He beat up Kessler. Get over it.

Most actual Ward fans are looking fwd to his moving up as much or more than his detractors are; as actual fans we are confident Andre will clean out 175 just like he did 168.

All these ****** Ward bash threads only serve to accentuate the facility with which he has dominated his competition thus far in his career.

So you prefer Ward continues to stay sidelined waiting?

No it's not. I don't pray. If I did, I'd pray for Ward to fight GGG at 160 so he can get that Dawson treatment.

My bad, I just listened to an interview, he said 2 tune ups

                      So in about 5 years

At that point, Stevenson is retired and kovalev and beterbiev are at Cruseirweight

                      Smart guy is Virgil hunter

You do know he is advising khan to duck brook also

Froch could solve this all and fight ggg at 168 but he won't go near him
