It is a tough fight for Floyd. Pac light years ahead of any of Floyds last 5 opponents...

Mayweather says they ‘forced’ Pacquiao to sign contract

“It was very, very difficult,” Mayweather told Ben Thompson of fighthype.com. “We forced them to fight. We gave them no choice.”

“Al and Bob and HBO and Showtime were going back-and-forth, trying to make the fight happen. It was a battle, but everybody is happy now and it’s time to give the people what they want to see,” Mayweather added, referring to his adviser Al Haymon and Top Rank promoter Bob Arum.

Mayweather’s claims contradict Pacquiao’s reported statements made last month that it was in fact the Filipino’s camp that’s been waiting for the undefeated American to sign the contract.

Pacquiao also posted a photo on his Instagram account of what appeared to be the fight contract proving he was the first one to sign.

Top pound-for-pound fighter Floyd Mayweather Jr. claimed his camp had to force Filipino ring icon Manny Pacquiao to sign the contract.

What i think people will learn from this fight is how relevant a jab is to a fighter, whether it is the lack of it or the possession of it.

So what you trying to say is it's a lot easier now for Floyd to win this fight since Ariza is in his corner? Ok, got yah.

seems to me whoever wins will be discredited immediately with that whole "shoulda happened a long time ago" talk.. is this just a case of better late than never? well whats the point, if they're past it this isn't a legacy fight no more, its just a money grab.

personally i dont see them as being past their best days. . ok, floyd looked human vs maidana, but why are people afraid to give chino his props, hes a relentless smothering force. fans have insane expectations for floyd since we have been spoiled for 18 years seeing him blow everyone out, so when he doesn't live up to this, we overreact.

mayweather is not past it, he just faced a human bulldozer in maidana.

and as far as pacman, to me hes a more complete fighter now than 2009. he is boxing more composed and cerebral, which makes him more deadly when you factor in his crazy power. the knock out vs marquez didnt scar him, it just turned him into more of a thinker, vs algieri he was explosive but he outboxed the boxer.

pacman is still the same dangerous tasmanian devil to me, except now hes well rounded into a skilled boxer. its kinda like when lebron got older but developed a jump shot, hes not dunking as much but is hands down more dangerous with this added skill.

pacman developed a jump shot, in 2009 i would say his only chance is to KO floyd, but now i can actually see him boxing.

i still pick Floyd by decision , but im not as confident as 2009. pacquiao is well rounded, i dont buy the "past their prime" talk

Yeah, ok. Since it came from Floyd all Floyds groupies will take it as the truth. Better yet, for those who can't read between the lines they'll say, "see? He's the one who is scared to fight Floyd" damn that dude will say anything to save face.

Pacquiao will win this with footwork alone.

Floyd's defense will be exposed, it's effective against slow plodders and only if Floyd uses his legs.

Floyd's legs are shot. This is going to be a one sided UD for Pac.

I agree but it wont be easy for Pac, Mayweather is no cakewalk, but Pac should win this comfortably, maybe 8-4
