Comments Thread For: R. Guerrero: If Mayweather Boxes, No Problems Winning

All indications are that the big fight the world has been waiting for will be announced in the next day or two. That fight of course is Floyd Mayweather versus Manny Pacquiao.

BoxingScene.com recently spoke to top trainer Ruben Guerrero - who's son lost a 12 round decision to Mayweather in 2013 - to breakdown the fight.

"I just wish them both the best because it is a big fight and they are the best fighters in the world.

Your opinion simply doesn't matter , you my friend are a joke. The way you conduct yourself around boxing is embarrassing and does not give you a serious shout NFO !

Mayweather can stand in front of Pacquiao 5 inch reach advantage he can use his lead hand measure Pacquiao hit him with straight right hands he can set traps for Pacquiao when he lunges in pull back catch him with check hooks and lead right hands

The opinion of these men who got to fight Pacquiao and Floyd then got dominated are worthless...

Pacquiao & Floyd (as all predicted) eased past their last opponents...excluding Pacquiao who got knocked out against his greatest Kryptonite Marquez.

If Pacquiao stands and trys to box in front of Floyd then sure Floyd is going to have it easy...that's where Floyd is strongest and will have success in this fight

However Pacquiao is going to be the one trying to set the pace will be moving around using his feet & angles forcing Floyd to reset and adjust constantly.

edit: Didn't read thought it was Robert not Ruben change title to Ruben!

Well he is going to box. So we'll just have to see what happens. There's no definitive answer to what will happen. There are points on both sides that indicate that both fighters could possibly struggle against each other.

For example, Pacquiao has one of the best counter right hook out of the Southpaw stance in the business. Mayweather is susceptible to that punch. He is susceptible to a straight left out of the southpaw stance, Judah was embarassing him with that punch over the course of a few rounds. Pacquiao is fast and aggressive. He can use alot of head movement. He can throw punches in bunches, and not loopy ones like Maidana.

I'm just saying. There's points that can be given about both fighters that can indicate a good fight.

Mayweather has the size, the reach, the crisp counters (Pac's kyrptonite.) He has more speed than Pac's previous opponents.

Ruben, eat ****. Is what I've been trying to say.

Title is misleading....he says that anything can happen, they both can win. Same thing the Ghost said as well. I see the Floyd influence is in full effect this morning.....everyone acting like Manny finally came around to face the challenge he has been avoiding or something, when really it was Floyd who finally came around.
