A slow plodding brawler won 5 rounds against Floyd. Sure he might have slightly more power than pac (debateable since he couldn't stop a shot bloated Morales or even drop khan), but is he anywhere near as fast as pac? No. Does he have anywhere near the same footwork and foot speed? No. Does he have anywhere near the same boxing skills as Manny? No. Etc. Etc.

Manny's foot speed/foot work would be key if Manny was moving and Floyd was the aggressor. But if Manny is being the aggressor, like he always was vs. Marquez, he can be timed by a much superior fighter (much more superior to Marquez) like Floyd. Floyd will let Manny come to him on the ropes, use his shoulder roll and straight right, and Manny will back off, start thinking, and then it's wrap. If Maidana couldn't KO Floyd, with the shots he was landing, I doubt Manny can either. I really expect Floyd to win 2-3 rounds in the southpaw stance. Manny has not seen a fast southpaw, Floyd has seen plenty.

You forget the shoulder roll doesn't work very well against a southpaw. At least not against a quick southpaw like pac who throws that straight left from weird unpredictable angles. And Floyd isn't going southpaw against pac, I highly doubt that lol. And only reason Marquez did well against pac because he was willing to dig deep a lot of times and fight fire with fire. You think if pac busts and bloodies floyd 's nose and drops him like he did against marquez many times, Floyd is going to put everything on the line? Remember Floyd is very health conscious. Once Floyd tastes his own blood early on it'll be full survival mode.

And the last fast southpaw Floyd fought was Judah and Judah was winning the early rounds and even dropped Floyd with a quick straight left (unfortunately the knockdown was called a slip). If Judah was stronger mentally he would have beat Floyd that night.

The shoulder roll worked against 4 southpawas: Corley, Judah, Ortiz and Guererro. Marquez is a lot slower than Floyd, just look at the Mayweather vs. Marquez fight, and that was after a long layoff. Wasn't Floyd's nose busted against Cotto? He didn't go into survival mode then. He baited Cotto, and beat Cotto off the rope, and then had Cotto on ***** street late in the fight. If Freddie is smart, he will bring both orthodox and southpaws into camp. Floyd can adapt to anything, Manny must be prepared to do the same. Manny needs very high talent in camp, because you don't go from Algeri to Mayweather. I think Floyd has seen everything, nothing like Manny, but Manny's competiton has been much weaker, especially since 2009.

Manny's best chance is in the first 4 rounds. I think Floyd spanks him and makes him look silly. I doubt Floyd has ever been as motivated for a fight as this one. I see Manny throwing less and less as the fight goes on, and he better not lunge in face first like the Marquez fight or I could see Floyd giving him the Hatton treatment.
