Who gives a **** about a commercial? This fight is going to make a crap load of money regardless if they had Mayweather and Pacquioa boxing while riding two tigers.

Well at least he will have a valid excuse for not coming on here on May 3rd

I get it they understand that they don't have to do great promo work cause the fight is going to sell regardless but damn they are doing the true fans so wrong.

I mean according to rumors they are not even going to put tickets on sale to public.

MGM just blocked everybody on strip not affliated with them from showing the fight, no press tour and a crappy promo lead up the fight all for me to shell $100 for the ppv.

Mayweather Promotions are the lead promoter. Ellerbe is in charge. Need I say more.

Think the approach for Pacquiao should be to come in light. Don't know if anyone has talked about this yet. Think the hardest thing Mayweather will have to deal with is the footwork and hand speed for Pacquiao. Easily the fastest opponent Mayweather has faced. Same with Pacquiao, except Mayweather seems to only have quick one punch speed, not necessarily combo speed, see Cotto fight. The lighter Pacquiao comes in, the faster he will be. Would want Pacquiao to come in 143-144 lbs for this fight.

Some other notes. Think the undercard is ****. Really good opportunity for promoters to put on a solid 4 fight undercard, but instead they feel like showcase fights. Think the promotion for this fight has been ****. Feels really rushed to get the fight in by May 2nd. Actually feel a lack of promotion is going to hurt them, and I have a feeling it won't do the numbers they are anticipating. Honestly, have not really heard people talking about this fight, thought more people were talking about Canelo fight when that was going on.

agreed, plus everytime he's come in at 147 he's lost, so... should be an omen

Everything you said was spot on. I feel like people were way more hyped for the Canelo fight than this fight. That fight also had a huge promotion and a multi city tour. Canelo had the Mexican fan base behind him and although Pacquiao has a lot of fans I feel like a lot of Mexican fans buy his fights pulling for the Latino fighter, kinda like they do with Floyd. There is no Latino in the main event and though I expect Mexicans to tune in I don't think they will have the same kind of emotional investment in this fight as they did in Mayweather vs Canelo fight or the Pacquiao vs Marquez fight.

The fact that this fight took so long to make, combined with the insane PPV price, and the fact that neither guy is prime, and the poor promotion signals to me that this fight will do nowhere near the numbers many are projecting it will do.
