So prior to the fight, it was generally thought that Manny had faster hands and feet than Mayweather. In the ring we saw guys who were roughly the same speed. Now, this would be indicative of either Manny's speed being overrated or that his athleticism is deteriorating at a more rapid pace. So either Manny never was faster or he is deteriorating at a more rapid rate, now what implications does that have on a rematch?

After a year off and recovering from a DESTROYED shoulder, Manny would be better.
In that time, he will have learned how to dodge a right hand, cut the ring off, and actually land meaningful punches against a runner.

That was the first time he faced anyone with real hand speed. And it showed.
