He didn't want hatton to come barreling in and mauling.. Wanted him to be more patient and precise, which isn't hattons game..

Plus roger is a right hands expert, the right hands is gonna win floyd the fight.

SR is the most overrated trainer ever

Floyd SR has about the same blueprint to beat manny, that Oscar has to beat floyd
Hatton did not follow Floyd Sr.'s game plan at all. So how would you know it's a horrible game plan?

I just watched that bout and what stuck out to me was the fact that Pac was pretty untouchable the first 3 rounds. Speed, distance, defense, head movement all on point. Then Marq starts throwing that left hook to the body and he opens up ever so slightly. It takes a ton of energy to fight the way Pac does. He makes mistakes because of this.

Hatton wasn't patient or precise against Pacquaio so there goes that theory. Also, just because a fighter loses doesn't mean it's always the trainers fault. With your logic Roach had a terrible game plan for Pacquiao in the fourth Marquez fight.

Mayweather jr doesn't need Roger to show him how to throw right hands and you still didn't answer my question; how has Sr failed Junior as a trainer up to this point and what is his game plan for this fight that you denounced?

How is exactly is senior the most overrated if he's never been awarded anything as a trainer?

Because he says it in the corner clearly after Hatton got his ass whooped in the first round "You're not doing anything we practiced man! I told you head movement man!"

1.. Hatton came out on his toes trying to be a boxer/puncher, pre fight SR was bragging how he would polish him up and improve the skills, instead of allowing hatton to be the ugly mauling fighter he is.. They should have tried to emulate what Augie Sanchez did to manny a few years prior, not be on your toes like your some clever boxer..

SR only failed floyd outside the ring, but roger has been with floyd 90% of the time, SR hangs around like a groupie, and really has put done anything for floyd since his first few years in amateur boxing..

SR is overrated because people claim he is some great trainer like nacho and roach, but those guys are levels better and have actually developed fighters, while SR in 30 years of training has never had one fighter develop under him.
Roger has handled floyd pretty much since puberty...

SR is gonna **** around and have floyd fight all defensively and manny gonna steal rounds,, roger would have floyd bombing straight rights and backing up manny and walking him down...
Against manny I would rather have the right hand expert, than the shoulder roll expert IMO

He stepped on his foot a lot actually.

Floyd sr doesn't strike me as a guy that would accept responsibitly when things go wrong..

Yeah cause head movement was gonna be the key vs manny... Hatton had to suffocate manny and wrestle him to have any chance.. Head movement is nice, but that's not hattons game or athletic level.. All hatton did was concentrate in stuff he wasn't use to doing and froze up and got beat down, instead of doing the things that brought him success.. Namely getting into ugly rough fights with a lot of inside fighting...
