I agree with you about the range. Whether he moves on the front foot or back foot he will probably try to fight at a distance where he can use his reach advantage.

I doubt he will do that.

He learned from the first Maidana fight, and in the rematch was on the move a lot more and clinched a lot.
I expect him to do the same against Pac.

Comparing sharmba Mitchell to pacquiao because they're southpaws is like comparing Andre berto to mayweather because they're right handed.

Pacquiao is a 2 handed volume pressure fighter with speed, and he's not going to let mayweather take control of the fight. He's going to make him work for it.

Floyd can't just attack him as he pleases because Pacquiao is a 2 handed fighter. Floyd doesn't just have to look out for his left, but his right hook as well, on top of being an exceptional counterpuncher, you attack Pacquiao at your own risk.

Against a 1 handed fighter Floyd can tee off because there are more angles of attack. Pacquiao gives you very little angles, on top of having the best feet in the sport. Pacquiao's defense is one of the most underrated in the game. But Floyd groupies wouldn't know anything about that.

Margarito, cotto and Rios couldn't walk Pacquiao down, how the **** is a 38 year old Floyd going to do it?
I HATE when people do this. Did you actually read my ****ing post or see the title of the video and immediately turn ******? I SAID, Floyd will fight a particular way against a fighter of Pac's caliber and that fight is a great example. He will fight in the middle of the ring, he will counter with left hooks and lead right hands and he will jab to control the distance between them. PAY ATTENTION WHEN GROWN FOLKS TALK.

Pac has the footwork to avoid clinching ..and pac doesn't smother himself ... he'll utilize as much angles as necessary and will throw in some feints ..along with solid footwork... to give him enough room to operate.

Whether he is on the front foot or back foot Floyd will fight at his range. Pac(and I would know I've literally watched about 15 Pac fights in the last 2 weeks) is a blazing combination puncher but he tends to jump in when he throws his combos and he also, too many times, doesn't worry about what happens once he starts throwing, he over commits. A fighter like Floyd will make him pay for those mistakes all night long. Wont be easy though. Pac is like a whirlwind of violence. I've really enjoyed going back through his fights since Morales.

because the bounce is more stressfull to the forearm muscles. and they are not targetting the forearms muscles.

it all depends on whether Floyd can time Pacquiao ..especially Pac's lefts. And how quickly he can do this. but Pac's lefts are fast, crafty, and come from everywhere.

PAC has too big of an offensive arsenal not to land. So the normal volume of punches from Floyd may need to increase to win rounds. Will Floyd throw enough?

We will see May 2nd. IMO, Pac's footwork combined with speed makes him very different to Floyd's past opponents. He can close the gaps and land.
