Counting on the Nevada judges to score ineffective aggression in Pac's favor.
Yep, that is a weakness of Manny. I hope Roach can get Pac to set some traps to counter Floyd once he starts to figure out plan A.

Very worrisome, his jab isn't bad when he decides to throw it. The problem is he seems to become very predictable like Jr said.
Roach needs to work on Pac using his footwork to control distance. He can't go lunging in smothering himself or getting so close to give Floyd the chance to clinch.

how about a bogus early stoppage? in the middle of a PAC 10 punch combo in which only 2 punches land, all of a suddenthe ref stops the fight

Clotty using a high guard just to shell up without firing back is totally different from Mayweather using multiple looks and conterpunching.

It keeps the opponent guessing. Just being one dimensional like Clottey is a different situation.

          In England it's possible

          In Vegas highly improbable

Especially given magnitude of the fight

And Floyd's history- he's been hurt vs Mosley and remain relaxed and came back really strong

              Yep.....

Just to add, while Clottey gave a horrible performance, I always felt like rounds 2,3 went unnoticed. Clottey did very good work there.

What I didn't understand is, Pacquiao was open for the lead left hook but Clottey never really threw it.

Which is why Pacs sparring has got to be on point.
He needs guys who will give him all those different looks, so when Floyd changes it up, Manny will be right there with him.

Yes, typical performance from Clottey. When he punched he had success. I think he was overly cautious because of Pacquiao's speed and didn't want to leave openings. He just became complacent going the distance. But you can't win like that.

But that's Clottey. He stopped fighting against Cotto and Margarito too.

Same reason De LaHoya, Rios, Algieri kept their hands to themselves. To salvage some beauty!

Yep, didn't Clottey say it was hard to get off punches because Pac seemed to know what was coming.(countering him)
